Anna Denike, 89, Lifelong Dobbs Ferry Resident

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Anna Denike, a lifelong Dobbs Ferry resident, died Oct. 8. She was 89. 

Denike was born in Dobbs Ferry to Antonio and Giacomina Anselmo. She graduated from Ardsley High School in 1941 and married Ralph H. Denike. She worked as a self-employed baker and took great joy in cooking and baking, her family said. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph.

Denike is survived by two sons, Ralph (Patty) Denike and Richard Denike; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Dobbs Ferry. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
