DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Ante Babaja of Dobbs Ferry died Saturday, Dec. 13. He was 85.
Babaja was born in Yugoslavia, to Stipen and File Babaja. He worked as a painter for Hudson-Shatz Painting in New York City prior to his retirement.
Babaja is survived by his wife, Anica; daughters, Sonia Babaja (John Guaneri) and Mary (Justin) Matteo; two grandchildren; several siblings; and extended family.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius and St. Raphael, 502 West 41st St., N.Y., N.Y. Interment will be in Croatia.
