Westchester Native Candice Ann Moser, 34, Dies Unexpectedly

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - Candice Ann Moser of Staatsburg died unexpectedly at home on Monday, Aug. 7. She was 34.

Born on Nov. 19, 1982 in White Plains, she was the daughter of Robert and Michele (Cawley) Gallo. She was predeceased by her father. Her mother resides in Mahopac.

Candice grew up in Ossining, and has lived in Dutchess County for the past five years.

She was a fan of heavy metal music and loved the local music scene. She also enjoyed movies and video games.

On July 3, 2007 in Nyack, she married Conrad Moser. Mr. Moser survives at home in Staatsburg.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Thom and Jacob Moser, of Staatsburg; sister, Lorraine Gallo, and her husband, Philip Consorte, of Canajoharie, NY; brother, George Barros, of Mahopac; many nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Barbara Moser, of Staatsburg; brother-in-law, Kurt Moser, of Staatsburg; and two sisters-in-law, Lesley King and Adriane Geronimo, both of Texas.

In keeping with the Candice’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no calling hours.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Candice’s life on Thursday, Aug. 17 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ossining Eagles Club, 7 Old Albany Post Road, Ossining, NY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet’s Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park.
