DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Dominick J. "Dan" Addabbo, a resident of Dobbs Ferry, died April 18. He was 84.
Addabbo was born in Queens, son of Vito and Antoinette Addabbo. He received his architectural engineering degree from Clemson University and was a consultant for the Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J. at the World Trade Center. He served in The United States Army during the Korean War.
Addabbo was a volunteer at St. Cabrini Nursing Home and a member of American Legion Post 1048 in Dobbs Ferry. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry.
Addabbo is survived by his wife, Constance; daughter, Stephanie (Timothy) Geary; sons, Daniel M. (Laura) and Michael (Shannon McCormack); sister, Lucy (Fred) Melnicki; and a grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Dianne R. Addabbo; and grandson, Daniel Augustus Addabbo.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 21 at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home . A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 22 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 95 Palisade St., Dobbs Ferry.
