Douglas W. Lander, 67, Of Dobbs Ferry, Worked For Con Edison

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Douglas W. Lander of Dobbs Ferry, former native of Yonkers, died June 3. He was 67.

Lander was born and raised in Yonkers, and was the son of Clifford and Violet Pratt. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and fought during the Vietnam War as a mechanic engineer. After his marriage he moved from Yonkers to Dobbs Ferry and raised his family. He worked as a mechanic for Con Edison for 39 years.

Lander is survived by his children, Lisa (Mike) Vigna, Michele (Chris) Sapienza and Kimberly (Brian) Cicio; three grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Ken (Theresa) Holloway and Keith (Susie) Holloway; and three nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and wife, Doreen.

Calling hours are Friday, June 6 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with Funeral Services to held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, Inc., 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry.
