George Senita, 91, Of Hastings-On-Hudson; World War II Veteran

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- George Senita, 91, of Hastings-On-Hudson, died Wednesday, Jan. 28.

He was born in Hastings to Teresa and John Senita.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, then worked as a machinist at Phelps Dodge for more than 40 years.

Senita was also a member of the Hastings-On-Hudson Volunteer Fire Department, Uniontown Hose Company No. 2.

Survivors include one sister, Anna Baka; and many nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, John and Stephen; and one sister, Elizabeth, died earlier.

Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Mary's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, 985 N. Broadway, Yonkers.
