HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Josephine Downar, a lifetime Hastings-on-Hudson resident, died peacefully Wednesday, March 18. She was 94.
Downar worked in the advertising industry in New York City and for Ciby-Geigy for over 25 years.
She is survived by a sister, Pauline Ciborowski; one niece, one nephew and great-nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be at the Hastings Funeral Home, 15 Spring St., on Friday, March 20, from 3-7 p.m.
A funeral Mass is set for St. Matthew Church on Saturday. March 21, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
