DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. Kenneth M. Nicholson of Dobbs Ferry died Tuesday, Oct. 16. He was 71.
An Air Force veteran, Nicholson served in Alaska and California from 1966 to 1968. He always had exciting stories to tell of the early space program tests and aircraft at Edwards Air Force Base, his family said.
Nicholson is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Poveromo Nicholson; two sisters-in-law, Jo-Ann and Cynthia (Tom); a brother-in-law, Michael (Jean); and six nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Sylvester, and his mother, Irene Neville Nicholson.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Church of the Sacred Heart in Dobbs Ferry. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, N.Y.
