DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Longtime Dobbs Ferry Margaret "Marge" Englert died on Monday, Feb. 15. She was 88.
Born in the Bronx, Englert was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Sodality to the Blessed Mother. "Marge was an avid reader, and enjoyed relaxing in the peace and solitude during family summer vacations at Lake George," according to information from the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.
"She had a youthful, fun-loving spirit and relished spending time with her three grandchildren. Marge was a member of local senior groups with whom she enjoyed traveling in her later years."
Englert is survived by her children, Raymond Englert, Janet Gaynor and Judy Danischewski, and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Cara and Erik. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Englert, and their son, Charles Englert Jr.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., in Dobbs Ferry.A mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at Church of the Sacred Heart, in Dobbs Ferry.
