Mary E. Lockwood, 93, Of Ardsley, Retired Telephone Operator For Ciba-Geigy

FOXBORO, Mass. - Mary E. Lockwood of Foxboro died Sunday, April 21. She was 93.

Lockwood was born April 16, 1921, in Tarrytown, daughter of Michael and Norah (Dermody) Regan. After graduating from White Plains High School, she worked as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Co.

She was later employed as chief telephone operator for Ciba-Geigy Corp. in Ardsley, until her retirement. She was a resident of Ardsley for more than 50 years, until moving to Foxboro in 1999. She was a member of the Foxboro Senior Citizens Center.

Lockwood is survived by her daughters, Nora (Paul) Tooher of Foxboro and Nancy (Robert) Meyer of Scotia; four grandchildren; a nephew; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Charles G. Lockwood; brothers, Michael Regan, John Regan; and sister, Anna Hintz.

Calling hours will be Thursday, April 25 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26 at St. Mary's Church, 58 Carpenter St., Foxboro. Burial will be Saturday, April 27  at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
