HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Mary F. Kalanta (Fitzgerald), of Hastings on Hudson and formerly of Ossining, died Thursday July 25. She was 93.
Kalanta was born Oct. 29, 1919, in the Bronx, daughter of William and Mary (Jordan) Fitzgerald. She was a former longtime employee of the FDR V.A. Hospital in Montrose.
Kalanta is survived by her daughter, Margaret; a grandson; sisters, Margaret Catalina and Evelyn Hester; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, William (Buddy), Gerald, Robert, Edward; and sister, Frances McCullough.
Calling hours are Friday, July 26 from 3 to 7 p.m.at Dorsey. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at St. Augustine's Church. Interment Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
