Raphael Cubisino, 73, Worked At St. Cabrini Nursing Home In Dobbs Ferry

OSSINING, N.Y. - Raphael "Ray" Cubisino of Ossining died Friday, Sept. 5. He was 73.

Cubisino was born in New York to Salvatore and Carmel Cubisino. He was a hospital administrator at Italian Hospital in New York City, was then the administrator at St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry during the transition from a school to a nursing home. He later was the administrator at Westchester Square Hospital in the Bronx. He was also a pharmacist and owned James Drugs in Croton for many years. After he sold the drug store he continued to work as a pharmacist at various drug stores in Westchester County. He was a longtime member and past president of the Embassy Club in Dobbs Ferry.

Cubisino is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, Ray; and daughter Katie.

Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Church of St. Augustine, Ossining.

Memorial donations may be made to Phelps Memorial Hospital.
