Raymond DeLuca, 91, Longtime Irvington Resident

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Raymond DeLuca, a longtime Irvington resident, born and raised in the Bronx, died Monday, Jan. 11. He was 91. 

A Navy veteran of World War II, DeLuca and his wife settled in Irvington. He worked in the garment district of New York City for Revillon Furs until retirement. 

DeLuca was an active coach and mentor, as well as an avid golfer well into his retirement. He was a member of the Irvington Seniors and enjoyed the company of all his friends. 

He is survived by his children, Bob DeLuca and Ivy Morgan; grandchildren Michael, Christine, David and Kent; and great-granddaughter Leila. 

DeLuca was predeceased by his wife, Irene, and his parents, Albert and Mary DeLuca.

Visiting hours are from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Irvington.
