DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Victor Altamura, a lifelong resident of Dobbs Ferry, died Oct. 17. He was 76.
Altamura was born and raised in Dobbs Ferry; son of Nicola and Victoria Altamura. For over 30 years, he was a sheet metal worker for Local 38. He was a member of the Embassy Club and of Dobbs Ferry Pop Warner Football League.
Altamura is survived by his wife Joanne; sons, John (Tina) and Chuck (Jackie); six grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Kivlin. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Monday, Oct. 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Westchester Medical Center Foundation for transplant.
