CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Walter Karl Strobel, of Clarksville, formerly of Dobbs Ferry, died Sunday, Aug. 4. He was 92.
Strobel was born Jan. 20, 1921, in Zurich, Switzerland. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. He was active with Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen.
Strobel is survived by sons, Daniel W. Strobel (Jane) of New York and Paul Strobel of Clarksville; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Hedy Strobel; brother, Paul Strobel; and sister, Edie Meier.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Matt Brown officiating.
