Jason Alexander, 51, of Bellair Drive faces up to seven years in state prison when he is sentenced on May 3, according to Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore.

Alexander, known as "Jace," is the son of actress Jane Alexander, and has directed such TV shows as "Law & Order" and "The Practice." Alexander has served as second vice president of the Directors Guild of America, according to Variety.

DiFiore said that Alexander entered guilty pleas to one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, for possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than 17 years of age. Both charges are felonies.

On July 24, 2015, an investigator from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office downloaded child pornography from an internet protocol address in Dobbs Ferry. A search warrant was subsequently executed at Alexander’s home.

A forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from Alexander's home revealed digital files of children who are less than 16 years of age engaged in child pornography, DiFiore said.

Assistant District Attorney Laura Forbes of the High Technology Crime Bureau is prosecuting the case.

Alexander remains out on bail.
