Four Injured In Deck Collapse During Rockland July 4 Celebration

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Four people were injured Monday when a deck collapsed during a Fourth of July celebration at 15 Silver Lane in Chestnut Ridge, Ramapo Police said.

All four people, above 15 feet above ground on the deck when it collapsed at around 11:30 a.m., were injured and transported to Nyack Hospital for treatment, police said. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening, according to police.

RPD was assisted by South Spring Valley FD, Monsey FD, Faist Ambulance Corp, Spring Hill Ambulance Corp, Rockland Paramedic Services and Rockland County Sheriff's Office BCI. The Village of Chestnut Ridge Building Inspector responded to the scene as well.
