HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. Police said a man walked into police headquarters Thursday, Aug. 2, around 1:20 p.m. to report his van had been damaged. The vehicle's fuel lines appeared to be cut, police said.
The incident occurred on Warburton Avenue. The man said he was not sure who inflicted the damage or when it happened. The following items also were reported by Hastings police:
Stolen Cash: Police responded to a report that $60 was stolen from a wallet at Chemka Pool on Friday, Aug. 3. A man reported he lost his wallet in the restroom and when the wallet was recovered, the money was missing.
Family Dispute: Police wer called to Warburton Avenue about 8:20 a.m Sunday, Aug. 5, where a man was reportedly attempting to break into his fathers car. Police spoke to the mans father and determined there was no damage to the car and no items were taken. The man left the car in his fathers possession.
Suspicious Activity: A resident called police to report three white males possibly breaking into a red car about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, on Chauncey Lane. Police determined that the car was secure with no signs of attempted forced entry. Police later found the driver of the red car, who said he was just trying to fix a broken vent.
