Hastings Man Caught With $1.4K Worth Of Marijuana, Police Say

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A Hastings-on-Hudson man is facing a felony drug charge after being busted with nearly two pounds of marijuana in the Rivertowns by a Greenburgh drug task force.

Following an investigation into the sale of marijuana in the Rivertowns, which was conducted by members of the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force, police arrested 34-year-old Christopher Varley on Thursday, March 30 on charges of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

According to police, at the time of his arrest, Varley was in possession of nearly two pounds of marijuana, $1,367 in cash and several vials that contained concentrated cannabis oil.

Varley was arraigned in Hastings court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. He is due back in court next month.
