HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Hastings Police said Monday that village resident Angel Rosale Cruz was arrested and charged with sexual abuse after he was accused of having sexual contact with two female children.
The mother of one of the victims reportedly told police Sunday that her child and a friend were assaulted during a sleepover at her home Saturday night. Both children are under 11-years-old.
Cruz, 31, reportedly entered the daughter’s room and forced the the children into having sexual contact, police said.
According to the police report, Cruz, an acquaintance of the mother who lives at the residence, was arrested there Monday and charged with two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D felony. He is being held pending his arraignment in Village Court.
The Yonkers Police Crime Scene Unit and Detective Division and Westchester County District Attorney’s Office assisted Hastings Police.
