The warrant was issued following a lengthy investigation into identity theft and other fraudulent activity, according to police.
One of the suspects, Edward Beckford, 25, has been charged with criminal possession of a firearm, while the other, Michael Ramos, 26, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant for forgery in the second degree, according to police.
During the search, detectives recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun inside the residence, along with a large quantity of fraudulent material commonly used to compromise people’s identities for the purpose of illegally obtaining goods and services, police said.
After processing, Beckford was held at the Westchester County Jail on $100,000 bail, police said.
Ramos, whose warrant was issued out of the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, was transported to Manhattan Criminal Court, where he was arraigned and held on $25,000 bail, according to police.
