Irvington Police Nab Burglary Suspects In $30K Safe Heist

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Police arrested a pair of Sleepy Hollow men on Wednesday for stealing more than $30,000 in cash and jewelry during a home invasion break-in last month.

Charged with second-degree burglary, a violent felony, are Frauli Rafael Soto-Dominguez, 21, and Aneudy B. Dominguez, 23.

The pair are accused of breaking into a single-family home in the Spiro Park section of Irvington on Aug. 15 and stealing a safe containing the cash and jewelry "under the cover of darkness," police said in a press release.

Irvington police said they were assisted in an investigation that led to the arrests by detectives from the Sleepy Hollow Police Department and by the Greenburgh Police Drug and Alcohol Task Force.

Bail was set at $5,000 for Frauli Soto-Dominguez and $2,500 for Aneudy B. Dominguez, police said.

They are due to return to Irvington Justice Court on Monday, Sept. 19.
