Man Charged With Bringing Marijuana Into Ossining's Sing Sing Prison

OSSINING, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a man with promoting prison contraband and unlawful possession of marijuana at Ossining's Sing Sing Prison on Sunday, Nov. 23, officials said.

Omar Taylor, 43, of Middletown allegedly attempted to enter the facility in possession of marijuana. He was detained by Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and issued appearance tickets by State Police, authorities said. 

Taylor is scheduled to appear in Town of Ossining Court on Tuesday, Dec. 9, police said.
