On Thursday, acting Westchester County District Attorney James McCarty announced that Nathaniel Grant, 51, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to a first-degree manslaughter charge for killing his longtime girlfriend last year.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on April 1 last year, multiple 911 calls were made to the Yonkers Police Department, describing a “bloodied, naked man walking down Warburton Avenue.”

According to McCarty, when police arrived on the scene, they discovered that he had come from an apartment on Glenwood Avenue, where they found Grant’s 56-year-old victim dead after suffering multiple stab wounds to her heart, lungs and liver.

Before Grant was found by police roaming the streets, neighbors spoke about a commotion coming from the victim’s residence. Grant was taken into police custody while being treated at the hospital.

Following his sentencing, Grant was remanded into the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections.
