At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, officers were dispatched in Bronxville, where there were reports of a man who was following a juvenile girl who was walking in the area, attempting to talk to her, police said.
Using village surveillance cameras, detectives from the Bronxville Police Department were able to subsequently identify, locate and interview the man, who was a 20-year-old Mount Vernon resident.
The Mount Vernon man told detectives he was “unaware of the youthful age of the female and that he was only trying to be friendly,” police said. No further police action was required by the detectives and the man was let go.
