The North Castle Police Department received a report from a resident of Nash Place in Armonk regarding two men who claimed to be with Verizon that knocked on her door and requested to look around the property to bury exposed Fios wires.

Police said that the two men were carrying shovels, but no further description was provided. The homeowner allowed the two men to look around, but later thought the situation was suspicious and contacted Verizon to investigate further.

According to police, Verizon told the woman they had no record of employees needing to be at her address, prompting her to alert law enforcement officials. Officers were dispatched to the home to check the area, but the two men could not be located. The incident is under investigation.
