Police: Pregnant Student Assaulted At Graham School

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A pregnant student at the Graham School told Hastings police she was assaulted by a former resident on Aug. 16 around 6 p.m., police said. After initially refusing medical treatment, the student went to a hospital to make sure she wasn’t injured.

The following items also were reported by Hastings police:

  • Police responded to an incident on Warburton Avenue around midnight on Aug. 15 after a hang up 911 call was made. Upon call back, police reached a male resident who said he was locked out of his home and an unknown Hispanic male in his 30s was looking at him in a strange manner, police said. The resident told police the unknown man left Madaba Deli, got into a blue car and put a black mask over his face, then exited the car and made a slashing motion at the resident. Police searched the area with negative results.
  • Police received a 911 call around 11 p.m. on Aug. 15 from someone who reported he or she was concerned about a woman sitting in a wet spot on Overlook Road. Police spoke to the woman who said she was just spacing out and looking at the sky. Police determined all was in order.
  • A resident went to police headquarters around 3 p.m. on Aug. 16 to report his rental car was struck on Maple Avenue by an unknown vehicle.
  • A resident of Glenn Place called police around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 19 to report a raccoon in his daughter’s bedroom. Hastings police and Greenburgh animal control responded and released the animal.
  • Police responded to a call around 5 p.m. on Aug. 19 from a resident on Rose Avenue who reported someone attempted to forcibly gain entry to a building on her property. Police confirmed the attempt and noted nothing was taken from the property, police said.
  • A resident on Farragut Avenue reported his 1995 Ford truck was damaged sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 and the morning of Aug. 20. Police confirmed an unknown person broke the truck’s windows.
