Police Seek Public's Help In Solving Missing Person Case

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Thirty years ago, Richard Bayne vanished from the Montrose Veterans Hospital without leaving a trace.

New York State Police are asking for the public's help in solving the disappearance of Richard Bayne from the Cortlandt area more than 30 years ago.

New York State police are now asking for the public’s help to solve the 1985 case, releasing a photo and description of Bayne at the time.

Bayne weighed about 170 pounds and was 5 feet 6 inches tall when he disappeared, state police said. He is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. 

Anyone with information regarding Bayne’s disappearance, are asked to contact the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Cortlandt barracks by calling 914-788-8044. Refer to SJS# 3855674.
