ARDSLEY, N.Y. – Ardsley police believe two people stole iPads and other electronics through their employment at Life: The Place to Be.
Police officers have been investigating a burglary at the Lawrence Street business sometime between the evening of Nov. 23 and the morning of Nov. 25.
Two employees opened the business and noticed a variety of items missing including three iPads, two laptop computers, and a cash register, according to a police report.
When Ardsley police officers investigated further, they found a side door of the premises slightly cracked open and a possible footprint near that door.
One security camera was removed from the business, while another had several wires removed from it, according to police.
Upon further investigation, police learned that an employee of three weeks was terminated for stealing an iPad from Life: The Place to Be.
The employee and his girlfriend were observed on camera near the iPads in the latest burglary.
Business owner Steve Zuckerman confronted the couple; the employee admitted stealing the iPad but said his girlfriend was not involved, according to the police report.
Zuckerman fired the male employee but kept his girlfriend as an employee, police said.
No arrests have been made in the most recent burglary.
