DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. Residents of Walgrove Avenue in Dobbs Ferry found two cars with one tire on each slashed, according to Dobbs Ferry Police.
An incident was also reported on Belden Avenue where a resident found one car with one tire slashed. A similar incident was reported on Bellewood Avenue where one tire was found deflated, Police Sgt. Vincent Ingani said. Police reviewed surveillance footage from a camera at the Getty gas station in the area, but no further information could be found. The incidents occurred from June 22 to June 23.

Not-So-Silly String : Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at 505 Broadway June 23. Upon arrival, police found utility poles and benches covered in string, Ingani said. Police have no leads in the case and believe the incident to be a prank, possibly performed by recent high school graduates. Family Feud : An elderly couple reported an incident of aggravated harassment to police Sunday after their son had made several annoying phone calls to them. Ingani said the suspect has a history of psychiatric disorders as well as prescription drug abuse. The couple told police they arent sure if they want to pursue charges but they want the calls to stop. No further action has been taken, Ingani said. Dogs on the Loose : Police responded Monday to a report of two dogs off leash, a violation of village code. The owner of the dogs is a repeat offender who has received several warnings to keep the dogs on leashes, Ingani said. Police issued the owner a summons to appear in court on July 12 at 10 a.m. She was charged with violating a village ordinance. Larceny : A Dobbs Ferry resident reported his car was broken into Wednesday on Beacon Hill. Police noted a Motorola Zoom tablet and Visa card were taken from the car. The items have not been recovered and there are no suspects in the case, Ingani said.
