DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Two small bags of an unidentified white powder found at the New York Sports Club in Dobbs Ferry were turned over to police on Friday, Oct. 19.
An employee found the bags between 4 and 6 p.m. after a man dropped a key at the front desk and told the employee a gym member would retrieve the key later.
The employee grew suspicious and matched the key to a locker in the facility. The locker contained an envelope with the two bags of powder inside, police said.
Police said testing to identify the powder could take up to a week. Management at the gym declined to comment about the incident.
