WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The body of a white male  found floating in the Hudson River on Saturday afternoon in Hastings-on-Hudson has been identified a 29-year-old from New Jersey, whose name has not yet been released, according to multiple reports.

Police believe he was the owner of a wallet and other personal items found on the George Washington Bridge. The man's family reported he was missing on Monday.

Police were notified about the body when a boater called 911 at 12:55 p.m. Saturday.

The Westchester County Police Marine Unit responded to the scene and located the man’s body at 1:18 p.m. He was brought to shore in Tarrytown, where police dock their boats.

There have not been any recent reports of anyone attempting to jump from the George Washington Bridge.
