In a Village Board of Trustees meeting on Oct. 27, the board approved moving forward in a 4-3 vote, stating that the project is fully compliant with the village zoning code, it meets the desired goals and elements for the Downtown Business District as expressed by the Land Use Committee and the Dobbs Ferry Master Vision Plan, and it provides a new “up-to-code” building that is safer for inhabitants, among other reasons for approval.
The majority expressed that the project is a positive enhancement that supports the ongoing revitalization of the downtown business district.
