Dobbs Ferry Trustee Victor Golio Jr. has been a trustee since 2009 and is running unopposed on the Republican and Dobbs Ferry Party lines. He was re-elected in 2011.

We asked the candidate about his approach to the job and expectations for his next term.

Tell us how you balance family, your profession and your office? It is a bit of a juggling act, but when you have clear goals and objectives you can set a plan which helps manage the entire process.

What are you main three goals for the next term? Follow through on current initiatives, continue to explore ways to enhance our relationships with the non-profits, and look for ways to share services with other villages without sacrificing current employment of our workers.

What would you ask of residents to do help you as a leader? Get involved and come to meetings. We have great committees and boards that need good people.

What are the best things about your job? Being able to improve the sustainability of living in Dobbs Ferry.

What is the toughest thing about being in office? Whatever decision you make will always invoke a positive and negative response. Sometimes people don't always have all the facts, or they just hear one side. Residents should subscribe to the mayor's newsletter as there is a lot of great information there go to http://dobbsferry.com/ and on the left side of the page on the bottom you can add your email.
