New York State announced that it was going to send out mailers that would contain all of the information needed to re-register for the Basic STAR exemption. If you have not received a mailer by Oct. 15, you can get the information by clicking here.
Those that are enrolled in the Enhanced STAR exemption do not need to re-register.
In other announcements, Swiderski has enlisted the help of architects to explore designs for a suicide prevention fence that will be part of the Warburton Bridge renovation project that will begin in January. The plans currently call for a chain link fence that Swiderski said would make the bridge look like a prison walkway.
