Marion V. Golba, 87, Of Darien, Former Executive Secretary At Pitney Bowes

DARIEN, Conn. -- Marion V. Golba, 87, a longtime Darien resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, after a brief illness.

She was born Nov. 2, 1927, to the late Marius and Sigrid Jensen of Greenwich.

Golba graduated from Greenwich High School and attended Shorts Secretarial School, where she excelled at office management.

She worked for many years as an executive secretary for Pitney Bowes in Stamford.

She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rye Brook for many years and most recently Zion Lutheran Church in Stamford.

Survivors include one sister, Barbara Lynch of Stamford; seven nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her husband, John V. Golba, is deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Road, Greenwich.

Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Stamford is handling the arrangements.
