Dobbs Ferry Board of Ed to Hold Budget Hearing

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – A public hearing will be held Thursday night by the Dobbs Ferry Board of Education to discuss the 2012-13 school budget.

The board will be meeting Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Dobbs Ferry High School library. 

The district's revised budget is $38,619,809, which is down from its proposed budget of $38,709,677 from Feb. 16. This year’s budget is a 1.44 percent increase over the 2011-12 budget of $38,073,156. This comes along with a 1.97 percent tax levy increase and a 2.71 percent increase in tax rate.

A renovation of the high school cafeteria will also be discussed as options for this project range from $600,000 up to $1.8 million.
