DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- The Dobbs Ferry School District has said it will conduct unannounced lockdown drills at various times throughout the remainder of the school year.

The drills are conducted in an effort to practice the most effective emergency response drills for students and staff.

Local law enforcement and emergency responders are working to ensure the safety of students at all times and parents will be notified about a drill with a "just-in-time" notification so they are aware their children are not in danger.
