Doty Appointed Acting Principal At Dobbs Ferry's Springhurst School

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Springhurst Elementary School Assistant Principal Lisa Doty has been appointed Acting Principal of the school while Principal Julia Drake takes maternity leave.

To help shoulder all of Doty's summer and early fall responsibilities, Springhurst Physical Education teacher Vinny Garafolo has been appointed as a Teacher on Assignment. Garafalo will support Doty with her regular responsibilities.

Dobbs Ferry Schools Superintendent Lisa Brady said Doty's knowledge and expertise will provide a seamless transition during Drake's leave.
