The atrium mural, which celebrates a respectful and kind community, is part of the school's character building initiative and the artistic creativity of two kindergarten teachers, Izabela Swiecka and Melaynne Vestal.

“The mural reminds everyone that Dows Lane is a respectful and kind community, where we do our work with pride, persistence and cooperation every day,” Dows Lane Principal Deborah Mariniello said. “Thanks to the PTSA for donating the paint and supplies, and thanks to our two teachers who volunteered their time to transform the space.”
