Dows Lane Third-Graders Conduct Experiments During 'Mad Month'

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Third-graders at Dows Lane Elementary School in Irvington learned about a handful of scientific concepts as part of an interactive learning unit the school called the 'Mad Month of Science throughout March.

The unit was funded through the Irvington Education Foundation and is a partnership with the New York Hall of Science.

For an hour each week, students visited a pop-up lab at the school that offered experiments that explained the concepts of light, electricity, human eyes and microbiology.
