IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Got any unused drugs lying around the house?
iASK and the Community Advisory Board are hosting National Prescription Drug “Take Back Day” at the Irvington Town Hall at 85 Main St. on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
People can turn in their unused or expired prescription medication for safe disposal.
Allowed are- prescription medications, prescription ointments, prescription patches, over the counter meds, vitamins, samples and pet medications. Residents are asked to remove all personal identifying information such as patient and doctor names.
Prohibited are- sharps (needles), thermometers, hydrogen peroxide, aerosol cans, inhalers, liquids and non-prescription ointments.
