Sponsored by the school district's Falcons Nest and the Woodlands middle and high schools Parent Teacher Student Association, the Taste-Off fundraiser uses food to connect businesses to the community.

Booster Club President David Jackson said the Greenburgh Taste-Off is one of the community’s most highly anticipated fundraising events, with participants tasting the dishes and voting on their favorite offering in specific food categories.

“The Greenburgh Taste-Off has evolved to be not only a successful fundraising event for the school district, but a great gathering for the community,” Jackson said. “It brings the community together and gives local businesses a chance to engage with all in attendance, while raising funds to help our students.”

The Taste-Off will include a silent auction and penny social, and organizers will also honor Greenburgh Central staff members for their service and commitment to the district.  This year’s honorees are Denise Acham-Taylor, Highview Schoo;, Joanne Iamonico, Lee F. Jackson School; Rosemary Kamholz, Lee F. Jackson School; Barbara Pridgen, Woodlands High School; Helena Sayles, Richard J. Bailey School; and Mark Worthy, Woodlands Middle School.
