Hastings High School Honors Eight With Junior Class Book Award

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The social studies department at Hastings High School recently announced its Junior Class Book Award Honorees for the 2015-16 school year.

The following students have distinguished themselves among their classmates through their academic achievement, enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity in United States history: Jackson Cadenhead, Anna Heubert-Aubry, Emma Jacobs, Anya Flood-Taylor, Janey Litvin, Brian Filipek, Samantha Blasetti, Miranda Edwards.

The social studies department will confer upon the honorees David Maraniss’s non-fiction work "They Marched into Sunlight: War and Peace, Vietnam and America, October 1967."

The award will be given out at a luncheon for the students on Wednesday, May 25.
