The meeting was originally scheduled for Jan. 28, but postponed due to bad weather.

The rubber-surface track at Reynolds Field has been closed since mid-January, the district said. The meeting will be open to the public and residents will be allowed to comment.

The cost to restore or replace the track would begin at about $500,000. The district is considering several options, including a total field renovation with a multi-sports, artificial surface replacing existing natural grass.

The rubberized track at Hastings High School has a number of areas that have raised and bubbled and others that have torn away, creating dangers for the runners and walkers who frequent the public park, officials said.

Signs have been installed at each entrance to tell residents the track is closed.
