IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington Middle School seventh-graders will present their final video projects at a film festival on March 23.
The seventh-graders studying the art of visual text and persuasive argument in Kelly Kozak’s, Caroline Lehoczky’s, Allicia Rios’ and Thomas Sandler’s English language arts classes created public service announcements. The videos tackle issues such as bullying, drug abuse, peer pressure, body image, technology addiction, stereotyping, nutrition and pollution.
The PSAs will be screened at the fifth annual Irvington Middle School and Jacob Burns Film Center Movie Premiere.
The festival will take place at the Irvington Campus Theater from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
