IRVINGTON, N. Y. — "Please move your tassels on your caps to the other side," said Principal David Cohen.

"Now you are officially graduates," Cohen said to the 142 students of Irvington High School's Class of 2015 on Saturday at Matthiessen Park.

The ceremony was once again held at Matthiessen Park with a nice view of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge in the backdrop.

Schools Superintendent Kristopher Harrison said," Each graduating class is distinctly different than the other, and in the class of 2015, the students have made amazing high achievements in competitive fields." Harrison was particularly proud of the students dedication to community service. "This graduating class has an impressive record of giving back to the Irvington community," said Harrison.

Diane Dolinsky-Pickar was proud of her son, Ari Pickar.

"I am so happy and such a proud mom that Ari has done well and now is off to a great new start," said Pickar.

Ari Pickar will be going to the University of California, Berkley to study physics. Ari was happy that he was able to share his last fond memories with his classmates at Irvington High School.

Amanda Drath's family was very supportive and by her side at her graduation. Drath will be attending Washington University in the fall and is really excited. Grandmother Jackie Kaufman was so happy for her granddaughter.

"I have felt nothing but, pride since the day that she was born," said Kaufman.
