"I have been participating in #satchat since the beginning of the school year." Brady said. "It is a great resource, and a couple of hundred educators log on each Saturday morning depending on the topic or the location. When I say location, sometimes Brad Currie and Scott Rocco (founders of the chat) will run #satchat from the site of many leadership education camps or technology conferences in the area."

The chat starts at 7:30 a.m. and lasts for one hour. Principals from Dobbs Ferry's Springhurst Elementary,  middle and high schools also take part.

"Educators of all kinds join the chat from all over the country," Brady said. "Each week has a topic that is usually selected by the #satchat founders. Both are New Jersey administrators and are a powerful, prolific presence on Twitter."

Brady said Twitter remains an undiscovered, confusing and misunderstood resource to many.

"For all of us who have embraced Twitter as an amazing professional development tool, we encourage you to explore Twitter, Follow Us, and see what we are saying and thinking about education, teaching and learning," Brady said.
