IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- The LEAP (Lead, Excel, Act, Persevere) Program is helping Irvintgon High School students reach academic goals and learn how to be leaders.
LEAP's founder, Randy Nathan, spent the day with 19 selected freshmen, sophomores, and juniors on Sept. 29 and will work with the students once a month through April.
The program helps students learn strategies that will help them identify and overcome challenges or obstacles in their daily lives.
“The students were thrilled with the experience and look forward to their work together and with Coach Randy,” Carleen Julian, a LEAP Program advisor at Irvington High School said in a statement. “These strategies will not only help them achieve their personal goals, but can also help them become stronger leaders in the school, community and beyond.”See Attachment
