DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Business students at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry are changing the lives of individuals with disabilities while gaining real-world experience.
Students in the school's Social Entrepreneurship Institute are launching the startup business, Studio7Music, in partnership with the ENACTUS program, a nonprofit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders.
The startup business will use patent-pending music technology to empower individuals with disabilities to express themselves musically and to play instruments that will provide them with a sense of community and normalcy in their lives.
The students will present their work on this revolutionary and life-changing project Friday, offering a live demonstration and the opportunity for guests to play the instruments.
The event is open to the public and will run from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Mercy College Rotunda (Main Hall).
